27 years later, "Provincial Player" - a 90s billiard quest-simulator - was released on Steam

The Valve Service store assortment has been replenished with a cult classic.

Recently, the cult project "Provincial Player" (or Provincial Player in the English localization) was released on PC in Steam. However, its publisher was not Strategy First, which is known for similar classic releases — WinDArities is listed on the store page.

"Provincial Player" is positioned as a quest-billiard simulator. The story centers on Art Billy, a professional billiard player. On his way from New York to Kryzhopol, fate brings him to Kozyulsk, where his adventures begin:

At the very beginning, a poster with Lenin solemnly announces: Kozyulsk is the capital of world billiards. This means that punks and deputies, mutants and prostitutes, tournaments with vampires, and a whole series of strange, funny, and sometimes frankly absurd situations await.

The main character has only 50 dollars in his pocket, and his goal is to get 500 to get into the grand final of the tournament at the "Golden Goat" club. The main action will unfold at the billiard table, and each club "is a separate story": the hero will have to communicate with characters and discover new opportunities.

The game page "Provincial Player" on Steam is available at the following link. Until October 29, the game will have a release discount of 15%. The game supports Steam achievements: players will be able to unlock 47 of them — "achievements" are associated with performing various actions, for example, you need to visit a certain location and communicate with NPCs.
