Gears of War: E-Day received its first major update - important bugs fixed
Gears of War: E-Day received its first major update, fixing bugs in the campaign and multiplayer modes, including issues with matchmaking in ranked matches.
The Coalition did not add new content in the first update for Gears of War: E-Day, focusing on fixing bugs and improving gameplay instead.
One of the main changes concerns the ranked Versus mode: after its launch, players complained about matchmaking with widely varying skill levels. The update should fix matchmaking and reduce the number of uneven matches.
Fixes also affected the campaign. Specifically, a bug in the second act was eliminated, which could cause progression to stop in split-screen mode if one of the players disconnected. In Horde Siege, issues with ammunition at the start of the match and a bug that allowed the Corpser to become immortal during an invasion were fixed. Adjustments were also made to various situations in Versus mode.
Among the minor changes are the ability to disable audio cues for collectibles and a reduced size of diagnostic text in the lower-left corner of the screen. The full list of fixes is published on the official Gears of War website.
