"Pixelated Gothic" to get a sequel - first look at Drova II Torn Lands

Players will have to complete quests without markers and join one of the factions.

Several years ago, Drova - Forsaken Kin from Just2D studio was released. It is a pixelated action-RPG that was "inspired by dark classics of the genre and the mystical charm of Celtic mythology." Many players at the time compared it to the Gothic franchise (although in this case, the view is not third-person, but an isometric camera is used).

Recently, Just2D studio and publisher Deck13 announced a new installment, titled Drova II - Torn Lands. They published a trailer with gameplay footage:

The developers said that in Drova II - Torn Lands, players will be able to forge their own path through dangerous lands and join one of two factions, each built around its own deity: "Will you follow the Mother Bear or join the ranks of the Great Ram? Immerse yourself in their unique cultures and adopt their ways of life and combat."

The authors will use the same approach to quest design: "no markers, no nonsense." Their development philosophy has not changed: they are making "an RPG that respects your decisions and your time."
