SuperStation One Creator Shows Teasers of FPGA Versions of Game Boy Advance and GBA SP Portables with New Screens
In the future, retro gamers have a chance to get not only a cheaper version of the SuperStation One FPGA console and SuperFPGA - a new SNES-based console - but also new FPGA portables designed for Game Boy Advance and GBA SP fans from developer Taki Udon and Retro Remake.
Developer Taki Udon continues to share teasers of new devices from Retro Remake with gamers. This time, he showed upcoming FPGA versions of the Game Boy Advance and Game Boy Advance SP portable consoles.

Together with his team, he has already begun prototyping variants with larger screens as part of a new hardware revision that has been in development for several months.

The new screen is a big step forward in terms of brightness, color reproduction, and scaling. Retro Remake has also started working on the GBA form factor with one of the new screens. The FPGBA SP, as Taki currently calls his clamshell, now boots in 2 seconds with a beautiful boot logo.
After the successful SuperStation (a PlayStation-focused FPGA console) rollout, he and his Retro Remake team have already hinted that they are working on an FPGA version of the SNES, but the GBA versions seem to be the furthest along.
Gamers can only hope that in the coming months, Taki Udon will publish detailed information about the technical specifications of the new products, as well as announce the release date and exact prices.
