Shrek 2 Remastered Spotted in Microsoft Store. Improvements and Co-op Details Revealed

Shrek 2 Remastered by Aspyr appeared prematurely in the Microsoft Store: the page revealed improved graphics, 4K support, and four-player co-op.

Shrek 2 Remastered by Aspyr appeared prematurely in the Microsoft Store. There has been no official announcement yet, although Shrek also briefly appeared in the ID@Xbox Showcase trailer, which will take place on October 20, 2026. Perhaps the updated game will be presented there.

Shrek 2 Remastered will receive improved textures, an updated interface, 4K resolution, and re-rendered cutscenes. New features also include a photo mode and the ability to unlock cheat codes.

The main improvement will be expanded co-op: up to four people will be able to play the game on one couch, over the internet, or combine both options.

Additional interest in the franchise is also fueled by a new film in the Shrek universe, which is expected next year.
