World of Warcraft: Forever stress test launch failed - Blizzard changed plans shortly before the start

Server testing will be conducted later than originally planned.

It was assumed that on October 19, Blizzard Entertainment would conduct a stress test of World of Warcraft: Forever, during which the performance of game worlds would be checked before the full launch of the project. However, something happened.

A couple of days before the launch, community manager Kaivax warned players about a change in the developers' plans — the start of World of Warcraft: Forever testing was decided to be postponed for a couple of days:

We invite you to take part in the World of Warcraft: Forever stress test on October 21. On this day, we will first disable the WoW Forever beta, and then launch the game on regional servers that will be used after its official release.

The time for the World of Warcraft: Forever stress test remained the same — the launch is expected on October 21, at 8:00 PM Moscow time. Everyone will be able to connect to it to help test the servers for strength.

The release of World of Warcraft: Forever is scheduled for November 5, 2026. Blizzard Entertainment is already accepting pre-orders: players have access to three sets with various bonuses (the sets include clothing, companions, tabards, and more).
