Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Released with PC Problems
Castlevania: Belmont's Curse returned after almost 20 years. The PC launch was marred by technical issues, due to which the game received "mostly positive" reviews on Steam.
Konami and Evil Empire studio, known for Dead Cells, took on a difficult task – to worthily continue the famous Castlevania series. The console version turned out to be quite successful and allows players to once again immerse themselves in the beloved universe.
The state of the PC version turned out to be significantly worse: players complain about launch problems, unstable performance, crashes to the desktop, and other technical issues. Because of this, the game has 71% positive reviews on Steam, while media ratings after 61 reviews on Metacritic are significantly higher – 84%.
Despite this, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse attracted more than 21 thousand concurrent players at its peak on Steam.
