It recently became known that Microsoft plans to remove at least eight games from Xbox Game Pass by the end of October 2026. Two of them are projects from Double Fine, which became independent from Xbox Game Studios this year.
Players have a couple of weeks to complete the updated version of the quest Day of the Tentacle Remastered. The game received 86 out of 100 points on Metacritic, and it has “overwhelmingly positive” reviews on Steam.
Also this month, another well-known quest, Full Throttle Remastered, will leave the Xbox Game Pass catalog.
There is no information yet about plans to remove other Double Fine studio games from the subscription, such as Psychonauts or Grim Fandango Remastered.
In addition, on October 31, 2026, the following games are to be removed from the Game Pass catalog:
- Wildgate — a first-person PvPvE shooter with tactical spaceship battles.
- Dead Static Drive — a survival horror that tells of a “nightmarish journey across 1980s America.”
- Deep Rock Galactic — a cooperative first-person shooter about space dwarves.
- Wartales — a medieval open-world RPG about a mercenary squad.
- LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga — a LEGO adaptation of the Star Wars franchise story.
- Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris — an isometric action game about the adventures of a tomb raider with co-op support.
