Assassin's Creed Creator Shows 1666: Amsterdam Gameplay. Investigations by Day, Hunting by Night
During the day, the heroine investigates cases, searching for demons beneath human masks, and at night, she goes hunting, and it is this cycle that the developers showed in the new gameplay.
1666: Amsterdam was showcased at the Galaxies Autumn event, presenting new gameplay footage and the atmosphere of the adventure action game by Patrice Désilets, one of the creators of the first Assassin’s Creed.
Players control the witch Noah, who investigates supernatural mysteries in historical Amsterdam. During the day, the heroine gathers clues and exposes demonic creatures, the “Primordials,” disguised as humans. Magic must be used carefully to avoid arousing suspicion among the townspeople.
At night, the monsters reveal their true nature, and the investigation gives way to open combat. Noah uses magical abilities to eliminate threats. The game will also feature other characters and the ability to control the cat Aaron in separate episodes.
1666: Amsterdam has been in early access on PC since August 25, 2026. The developers have not yet announced the full release date. Currently, the game is receiving mixed reviews on Steam.
