BIGDOG STUDIO to release unofficial Alex Mercer figure from Prototype: a walking biological threat

In 2026, BIGDOG STUDIO is set to release an unofficial Alex Mercer figure from the game Prototype, featuring accessories in the form of various weapons and armor made of eerie biomass.

BIGDOG STUDIO has opened pre-orders for an unofficial 1/6 scale figure of Alex Mercer from the open-world action-adventure game Prototype.

In certain locations, it can be purchased for $179.99 (14,993 rubles). Inside the box, you can find a detailed head sculpt, an articulated body, eight interchangeable hands, a gray hoodie, a black leather jacket, shoes, and jeans.

The set also includes accessories in the form of armor, claws, a blade, and a whip made of biomass. The figure is expected to ship in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Alex Mercer is interesting for his deep internal drama and the unique concept of a 'living weapon.' He is simultaneously a monster who destroyed an entire metropolis and the only being capable of saving it. Alex constantly balances on the edge between the remnants of humanity and the absolute ruthlessness of a viral predator.

The character's abilities are astonishing in scale, as his body is entirely composed of viral biomass capable of changing shape. He can transform his hands into giant claws, heavy hammers, deadly blades, or a long whip for ranged attacks.

For defense, Alex covers his body with impenetrable armor or creates a full-body shield that deflects any bullets. Physically, he is incredibly strong: he easily throws tanks, runs up vertical skyscraper walls, and glides through the air. His most important and terrifying ability is absorption — Mercer can literally consume any person, instantly healing wounds, taking their memories and skills, and then assuming the perfect appearance of the victim for disguise.
