The employees of Bombora publishing house presented an updated cover for the book "Heroes of Might and Magic. A Step-by-Step History of an Immortal Series." It will surely appeal to readers who still recognize Paul Romero's music from the first notes and love the meme "Astrologers announced a week of...".

Back in August, the Bombora publishing house showed the first finished elements of the cover for the book "Heroes of Might and Magic. A Step-by-Step History of an Immortal Series," authored by Evgeny Peklo.

Many users were not very pleased with what they saw, so, taking into account people's feedback, the team updated the cover. The Bombora employees expressed their gratitude to Soan Valentine for the art.

For millions of gamers, Heroes of Might and Magic is not just a series of strategies — these games have become a part of life, a reason for friendship, family quarrels, and endless conversations about which castle is stronger. Readers will embark on a grand journey: from King's Bounty and John Van Caneghem's first experiments to the birth of Heroes of Might and Magic, the triumph of the third installment, the difficult fate of the franchise after the collapse of New World Computing, the unexpected revival at the hands of Nival, and the release of the fifth "Heroes," followed by new attempts to restore the series to its former glory.

Thanks to the book, you will learn:

  • Why Russian players, in particular, made the series a true cultural phenomenon — and what role the Nival studio played in its fate;
  • What happened behind the scenes of development — from the first prototypes to projects that most fans didn't even know existed;
  • What unexpected decisions, coincidences, and even family circumstances influenced the creation of each new installment of Heroes of Might and Magic.

In the near future, "Heroes of Might and Magic. A Step-by-Step History of an Immortal Series" will go to print.
