The Finals has received an AI commentator who reacts in real-time to what is happening in matches, naming players and their teams, creating the atmosphere of an esports tournament.
The system uses artificial intelligence for dynamic commentary. According to the developers, there has been no similar solution in the shooter genre yet.
The novelty of our system is that comments are now created in real-time, taking into account the context of what is happening on the screen. (...) Nothing like this has ever existed in the shooter genre. (...) We want to create the feeling that you are the superstar of this show.
The new dynamic audio accompaniment system has been launched in beta and will be developed in the coming months.
The new season of The Finals, called Prime Time, is released today. In addition to the AI commentator, it adds the Solo Showdown tournament mode.
