Saber Interactive studio and publisher Focus Entertainment announced the release of the 19th season for the off-road simulation game SnowRunner. It is titled Research & Restore and will take players to Switzerland.
The developers said they created three winter maps, each 4 square kilometers in size. The virtual version of Switzerland combines diverse environmental elements: “Public infrastructure, cutting-edge scientific research, and even tourist festivals — this picturesque canton is bustling with work on new projects.”
The vehicle fleet will be expanded with two new vehicles — the “exceptionally versatile” heavy truck Wortek 250T, featuring one of the largest fuel tanks in the game and a flexible modular add-on system, as well as the Derry Savior. It is described as an 8x8 heavy truck with three steering axles, capable of “hauling the heaviest loads up the steepest inclines.”
In addition, the creators of SnowRunner have prepared new missions: players will be invited to participate in the opening of a restored viaduct, help secure roads from avalanches, and complete the reconstruction of an observatory.
