It recently became known that Respawn studio, together with DICE, is working on some kind of “future project”. Electronic Arts did not disclose details in a corporate letter.
Although the game's title was not specified, there is a possibility that it is a new installment of the Star Wars Battlefront franchise. Earlier, well-known insider Jeff Grubb spoke about the existence of a threequel, and the head of development for the shooter Wardogs also heard about this project.
Electronic Arts is pleased with the results of Battlefield 6 — it is considered a “great success” and notes that they “learned a lot” during the launch phase and “in the process of working on the game-service”. In addition, the publisher confirmed plans for new projects in the Battlefield franchise.
