FromSoftware released an update for Elden Ring - improved security and fixed bugs

The developers haven't forgotten about the project.

In October, FromSoftware studio and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment announced the release of update 1.17.2 for Elden Ring. The update was prepared for PC (Steam), as well as PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S consoles.

The developers did not add new content to Elden Ring: this is purely a technical patch, fixing several bugs and making corrections to the game's credits.

For example, a bug was fixed where the character was displayed incorrectly when wearing the Gold Tattoo Chest armor with a hidden helmet.

Also, a graphical issue was corrected when using the Multi-Shot Crossbow skill, when the weapon was in the left hand, and Leontiel's Greatsword was in the right hand.

The developers separately noted that for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, the update includes fixes related to network security.

The update brought an unexpected benefit to some Elden Ring fans — new knowledge. One of the most popular messages in the update discussion was a comment from user s0_Ca5H: "This is how I found out that there is an option to hide the helmet in the game."
