Aspyr has officially announced Shrek 2 Remastered, an updated version of the 2004 game, which will be released on November 10, 2026, for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2.
The remaster will feature improved textures, a photo mode, and cheat codes. The game will be available on Steam, Epic Games Store, and modern consoles.
The release will take place during a busy period for the industry: five days before, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake will be released, and nine days later, GTA VI. The developers of Shrek 2 Remastered openly hinted at the latter game in the trailer.
