Modders bypassed NVIDIA: all RTX graphics cards received a convenient DLSS switch

Universal MFG Unlocker 1.6.1 from modder dashdogy allows GeForce RTX 20, 30, 40, and 50 graphics cards to switch DLSS presets for Super Resolution, Ray Reconstruction, and Frame Generation directly during gameplay without restarting.

Universal MFG Unlocker received update 1.6.1, allowing GeForce RTX 20, 30, 40, and 50 graphics cards to switch DLSS presets directly during gameplay without restarting.

The free tool from modder dashdogy was originally created to run new versions of Frame Generation on older RTX graphics cards, and now allows flexible configuration of DLSS technologies.

For Super Resolution, presets J, K, L, and M are available; for Ray Reconstruction – D, E, and F; and for Frame Generation – A, B, and C. The first two technologies switch almost instantly, and when changing the frame generation model, only the function itself restarts.

The update also extends Multi Frame Generation, Dynamic MFG, and NVIDIA Reflex control to RTX 50. Additionally, it fixes a bug where Frame Generation could remain unavailable on some RTX 20 and 30 cards, including the RTX 3080 in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

This allows for quick comparison of image clarity, artifacts, ghosting, and frame rates in the same scene. However, switching presets without restarting only works in supported DirectX 12 games. In Vulkan and some older versions of Frame Generation, a restart may still be required.
