Those who pre-ordered Ace Combat 8: Wings Of Theve received the classic franchise game Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War as a gift. However, some collectors on Steam were very unhappy with the publisher's decision regarding game distribution.
Bandai Namco Entertainment released Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War on Steam as part of Ace Combat 8 — the games were installed as a 'bundle' and upon launching AC8, offered a choice: to actually launch the new game, or the classic The Belkan War. Players complained on the forum and left negative reviews. The dissatisfied players were eventually heard, and it was decided to separate these games.
Now, Bandai Namco Entertainment explains, Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War is a separate game with its own list of achievements. Developers will gradually issue licenses to players — some have already managed to receive it.
The Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War page on Steam is available at the following link (the game does not appear in the Steam store or search results). Players will be able to collect 30 achievements — mostly related to completing missions and shooting down enemies with specific weapons.
