Polish Activision studio is preparing a competitor to GTA VI and Cyberpunk 2077

Elsewhere Entertainment, an Activision-owned studio based in Poland, is developing an ambitious open-world RPG that the publisher intends to compete with GTA VI and Cyberpunk 2077.

The studio was opened in Warsaw in 2024 to create a new franchise. Since then, the developers have not shown their game, although a fresh job vacancy allows us to learn some details.

Activision is looking for an Associate Animation Director. The job description mentions the development of large-scale gameplay and dynamic interaction with the open world. This could mean that the environment will react to player actions, rather than being limited to pre-scripted scenarios.

For example, characters may remember the hero's actions, factions may change their attitude towards him, and events may affect the state of the world. All of these are just possible implementation options for now: there are no official details about the game.

Comparisons to GTA VI and Cyberpunk 2077 sound promising – it's too early to assess the project's potential. It's only clear that Elsewhere is aiming for a major project.
