You can play Cyberpunk 2077 in your browser - an unofficial version of the CDPR game has been released

Lawyers may have questions.

Recently, Cyberpunk 2077 received a major 2.5 update with new gameplay features and content in the style of the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 (or “Cyberpunk: Running on the Edge 2”).

Soon, an enthusiast under the nickname omonkeyzz announced the release of the project “Cyberpunk 2077 Browser” — it offers everyone to play the CD Projekt RED hit directly in their browser. This project works via WebGPU. Usually, in such cases, it is necessary to upload your own data — this helps to avoid copyright issues, but to play this version (at least for now) no distribution is required.

The first launch of Cyberpunk 2077 Browser can take a long time: the necessary game assets will be loaded, shaders will be compiled, etc.

At the time of publication, Cyberpunk 2077 Browser has not yet been shut down. omonkeyzz's publication went viral on the social network, so it is highly likely that in the near future, CD Projekt RED's legal department will take action and the project will be closed.

Previously, Grand Theft Auto V was launched in a browser in a similar way. Then Take-Two lawyers quickly shut down the “browser version” of the game.
