The creators of the life simulator The Sims 4 announced that a major update will be released soon for the game. Primarily, it will focus on food, meals, and drinks — Maxis studio has fixed over 150 bugs and prepared various improvements.
According to the developers, they were able to eliminate the problem that led to infinite loading under certain conditions, and also fixed the save system and more:
We have resolved the infinite loading issue when placing lots, eliminated white screens when loading saves with rental housing, restored the ability to order food and drinks if bartenders are simultaneously busy with something else, and Sims will freeze less often.
The “Open” action for refrigerators has moved to the foreground of the radial menu
Some changes and improvements:
- Eliminated the cause of infinite loading when placing lots, which was related to excessive use of object movement code.
- Players will be able to enable and disable muscle and weight changes for the entire save at once, as well as the ability to enable and disable them for each Sim individually via the action wheel.
- Developers have adjusted the prices and calorie content of all dishes and drinks from the base game and additional content.
- Sims will no longer place plates in inappropriate places (e.g., on display cases).
- Fixed an issue where infants, into whom Sims were reborn, did not appear in selected families and in the Create-A-Sim editor for making changes. Now the rebirth process will complete without problems. (DLC “Life and Death”)
- Fixed an issue where Sims could freeze while planning a route.
The next update for The Sims 4 is scheduled for release on October 27.
