In late October, fans are celebrating the 8th anniversary of Red Dead Redemption 2. The well-known blogger ben (videotech) in the GTA and RDR communities posted congratulations. This game means a lot to him:
Happy 8th anniversary, Red Dead Redemption 2! These eight years have flown by, and the game still looks and feels amazing. In fact, it was thanks to it that I started this page in 2018. In my opinion, this is the greatest game of all time.
Members of the RDR community began sharing began sharing memories of story missions and open-world adventures. A user under the nickname Sir Joseph Windsor showcased the evolution of his Arthur's look:
It still feels like I only bought the game at release yesterday. It was something amazing. I really hope that GTA VI gives us the same freedom of customization as RDR2. Judging by everything, that's how it will be. What has my Arthur not looked like over these years.
Some users to this day call on Rockstar Games to release a next-gen update for Red Dead Redemption 2. However, so far the developers haven't announced anything of the sort.
Right now the studio is preparing for the launch of the new game Grand Theft Auto VI. Its release is planned for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Rumors about an update for RDR 2 have been circulating for a very long time, and some players hope that after the release of the new GTA the developers might introduce a patch.
