In late October, studio Steel Balalaika and publisher Slitherine announced the full release of major update 1.2.1 for the strategy game Broken Arrow. Previously, the creators conducted beta testing of the update.
Now Broken Arrow runs on the current version of the Unity 6 engine and supports modern technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 and AMD FSR 3.0 Stable. In addition, the developers implemented “multiple performance and network stability improvements”.
Synchronization was improved for fast-moving objects, as well as for units after the reconnection of their original owner.
Some other changes and improvements:
- All control points in multiplayer have been switched to the new contest system. Now, “triggers” will be forcefully shifted to neutral status if at least one unit from each team is present on them.
- Added 4 new Rosgvardia-themed soundtracks for the hangar.
- Improved the adaptive music engine and expanded the music library for multiplayer and the scenario editor.
- Fixed an exploit allowing players to mix specializations of different factions.
- Fixed a number of bugs causing dropped airborne units to remain invisible until they land.
- Implemented various balance adjustments.
