Shenmue III Enhanced Edition was announced in late 2025. The updated version of the 2019 game is being prepared for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. It will offer improved graphics and frame rate, reduced loading times, more NPCs, refined controls, and other conveniences. A modern camera option and settings for fans of the original will also be available.
The original Shenmue III was released on November 19, 2019, for PS4 and PC. The game from Ys Net continued the story of Ryo Hazuki, who is searching for his father's killer.
