On December 31, the action-RPG Diablo will celebrate its 30th anniversary. Back in the day, this title gave gamers countless fond memories and revolutionized the gaming industry.
And in 2001, the Game Boy Advance handheld console was released, bringing the full experience of 16-bit and 32-bit home consoles into a compact format. Even 25 years later, it continues to delight players across the globe.

Now it has been revealed that thanks to an unofficial fan port, classic Diablo has also arrived on the GBA. This full-fledged remake of the first installment in the series promises all the action of the PC version, including 4-player co-op and 3 classes to choose from.
Character screens, quick spell slots, quest logs, and menus have been completely redesigned for the GBA format. The graphics don't differ drastically either: while the visuals aren't as crisp as on PC due to the GBA's hardware limitations, it doesn't look or feel like a completely different project, unlike certain demakes.
The game features 16 levels and 4 dungeon themes: Cathedral, Catacombs, Caves, and Hell. The bestiary includes 170 types of monsters, supports 27 spells, and allows players to collect 90 unique items throughout their playthrough.
