Recently, Cygnus Cross studio released a launch trailer for Emberville. It was expected that the game would be released in “Early Access” at the end of October, but at the last moment the developers reconsidered their plans. Now the game’s release is expected next year.
The developers are not afraid of the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto VI — it is about something completely different. The Emberville team took part in the Steam Next Fest demo festival, and after reviewing the feedback, the authors decided that the project needed more polish. This cannot be done quickly — some gameplay systems will be reworked:
Many of you played our demo during Steam Next Fest and shared your feedback. This means a lot to us, and we immediately began planning further improvements. However, some of them require changes to game systems that cannot be made quickly. For example, reworking archery will take more time than was left before the Early Access release, even though our team is working around the clock. Having carefully weighed all options, we decided to postpone the release so that the game receives a number of important improvements right at the Early Access launch.
According to the Emberville storyline, the protagonist, who has lost his memory, wakes up in a vast underground world:
Welcome to Vitromotus — a magical dungeon where death is a new beginning. All you have to rely on is your wits and strength as you persistently push forward in hopes of seeing the sunlight again. At the moment when despair begins to crush your spirit, a spark of hope lights up ahead. The residents of a once-thriving town, now ravaged by cruel forces, need your help.
