A gameplay trailer for a stealth-action game set in 1990s Russia “with panel blocks and forgotten technologies” has been released

The protagonist of Glowing Lamps underwent KGB special training.

The studio Metsys Games recently released a trailer for Glowing Lamps. The upcoming title is positioned as a story-driven stealth-action game set in an alternative 1990s Russia.

According to the story, in a gloomy city “with panel blocks and forgotten technologies,” the protagonist—a former Soviet engineer with KGB special training—finds himself at the center of a dangerous conspiracy: “Trying to restore promising energy to humanity, he confronts the interests of oligarchs, local organized crime groups, foreign spies, and corrupt police.”

The protagonist possesses not only a sharp mind, but also heavy fists. Therefore, players in Glowing Lamps will be able to fight either out in the open or make use of stealth mechanics: one can “trick and outsmart” enemies, explore the surroundings, and choose their own approach to solving objectives.

The environment can become a weapon—for example, players will be allowed to blow up propane tanks and set up smoke screens.
