Marvel Cosmic Invasion will receive The Siege of Castle Doom expansion on November 10, 2026, which will add a roguelite mode featuring runs through Doctor Doom’s castle and two new playable characters.
In the new mode, players will have to fight their way through the defenses of Doomstadt Castle before Victor von Doom activates the Cosmic Inductor. This weapon was created to fight Annihilus and is capable of destroying the universe.
The main threat is the siege meter, which fills up whenever heroes are defeated. Victories allow players to collect batteries and slow down its progress. Between battles, players can choose routes, obtain upgrades, and restore health.
The developers promise more than five times as many encounters as in the base game, along with new traps, events, and modifiers. The expansion will include the Invisible Woman Sue Storm and Doctor Doom. Players can also expect new musical tracks and additional character color palettes.
The Siege of Castle Doom will be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC. The price of the expansion has not yet been announced.
