Red Dead Redemption 2 will receive a free fan-made mod titled Undead Damnation featuring zombies, new quests, and the atmosphere of the Undead Nightmare expansion. The creators have presented the first trailer.
The project is being developed by the Rixus channel. The modification will serve as a prequel to the 2010 expansion and bring its mechanics into the world of RDR2. The zombie curse will sweep across the entire map, from Annesburg to Tumbleweed.
Players can expect new quests and encounters, rescuing townsfolk, clearing graveyards, and several types of zombies. The mod will also feature classic musical tracks that established the apocalyptic atmosphere in the original Undead Nightmare.
The trailer showcases abandoned settlements, stormy nights, and hordes of the undead in locations familiar from Arthur Morgan’s story. The developers intend to preserve the spirit of the original while adapting its mechanics for a more modern game.
There is no release date yet. The project page on Nexus Mods has not appeared yet. The mod is promised to be released for free.
