Suddenly, Ubisoft Entertainment decided to return to Assassin's Creed Valhalla once again. The developers announced a major update.
In this way, the creators decided to celebrate a new audience milestone: the number of players in Assassin's Creed Valhalla has surpassed 40 million. The game will receive a “New Game+” mode, allowing fans to embark on a new journey while retaining most of their previously achieved progress.
The developers accompanied the announcement with a meme:
The “New Game+ update” will also introduce an optional progression mode to Assassin's Creed Valhalla, where gear, runes, and masteries impact Eivor's overall Power.
New runes, achievements, a cache system, and new rewards will be introduced, including a Master Assassin outfit inspired by Naoe from Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Players will also be able to use a new resource, Mithril, to upgrade Divine Gear and enhance runes.
The release of the update for Assassin's Creed Valhalla is expected on January 5, 2026. The developers have not yet published the full patch notes—further surprises are expected.
