A multiplayer mod with RP servers is in development for Cyberpunk 2077 — gameplay teaser revealed

Players will be able to launch a server and establish their own rules.

CD Projekt RED never released an official multiplayer mode for Cyberpunk 2077. However, there is clear demand for a potential Cyberpunk Online among the fan community, which is why modders have begun attempting to create such projects.

Previously, enthusiasts announced CyberMP, and now a test build of yet another multiplayer project is preparing for launch. The creators of “Open77” plan to introduce not just an online mode, but the ability to run RP (roleplay) servers. They aim to offer players a car dealership system and flying cars, an in-game economy and various types of jobs, VR support, and custom scripts.

The modders explained that players hosting their own dedicated servers will be able to establish their own rules, customize different elements, and build a community.

The alpha test launch of the “Open77” multiplayer mod for Cyberpunk 2077 is expected on November 7, 2026.
