Mass Effect fans announce massive gaming marathon on November 7 to save the franchise

Not all Mass Effect fans are ready to accept the current state of affairs.

Recently, the BioWare studio was closed, and development of the new Mass Effect installment was canceled. Fans of the franchise are unhappy with this decision by Electronic Arts and are trying to convince leadership to reconsider. To this end, they launched a billboard campaign calling to save Mass Effect, and a massive gaming marathon is also set to take place soon — participants want to demonstrate their interest in the games.

The founder of the “We Are Mass Effect” project urged franchise fans to play Mass Effect Legendary Edition on N7 Day so that it would be reflected in Electronic Arts’ statistics:

N7 Day is approaching and we would like to share another wonderful initiative from the community with you! On November 7, we urge as many Mass Effect fans as possible to return to Mass Effect Legendary Edition at the same time! The idea is simple: unite the community, celebrate, and create a noticeable spike in Steam player count to show how passionate and active our community remains.

Console players can also take part in the “N7 Day — Play Day” event. Any Mass Effect game can be played; no purchases are required. Players were asked to share screenshots/videos and make posts about playing on N7 Day using the hashtag #SaveMassEffect.
