Crimson Desert received a huge expansion with an underwater world, weddings, and new bosses

Players will be able to build and buy sailing ships, dive for treasure, rent buildings, and marry NPCs.

Crimson Desert has received a major expansion, “Journey into the Unknown,” featuring an underwater world, new islands, story quests, house construction, weddings, and additional challenges.

Update 2.04.00 expanded the map of Pywel with an ocean and uncharted islands. Players can build and buy sailing ships, engage in maritime trade, dive for treasure, and use underwater mounts. One personal quest each was added for Kliff, Oonka, and Damiana.

The housing system received free-form building, and players can now rent buildings and manage businesses. It is also now possible to develop relationships with NPCs, get married, and travel together with a spouse. Among other additions: ten enemy groups in the “Garden of Trials,” new bosses, equipment, a dice mini-game, and barbershops in major cities.

The developers also added everyday items that can be used in combat and allowed upscaling and frame generation technologies to be selected separately. For instance, players can now combine NVIDIA’s DLSS with AMD’s FSR Frame Generation.
