Fanattik has prepared a nice treat for fans of Sonic and the Sega Mega Drive console. It has opened pre-orders for a detailed, licensed replica of the original cartridge.
The dimensions of the collectible item, made of metal, are 107 × 68 × 6 mm, and the edition is limited to just 5,000 copies worldwide. It can be purchased for £29.99 (3,264 rubles).

Each piece is numbered on the reverse side. As for detailing, embossed textures are featured on both the front and back of the cartridge. All of this comes in a display box that completely replicates the original game packaging.
It is even slightly scuffed—just like a box after three decades of use, which only adds to the sense of nostalgia. Judging by promotional images, it also comes with an instruction booklet, just like the original game. Unfortunately, you won't be able to run Sonic the Hedgehog on the aforementioned console using this replica.
Shipping of the cartridges is most likely set to begin on February 26, 2027.
