At the end of October, CD Projekt RED returned to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered. The developers prepared a small hotfix update for the remaster.
It is designed to address a couple of issues previously reported by players. One fix concerns user modifications — now, after disabling certain mods, equipment and items should no longer disappear.
Another fix resolves an issue with the appearance of the flaming horse: in “New Game Plus” mode, the model should display correctly.
In addition, a hotfix for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered was released for the Xbox Play Anywhere version, which fixes these same two bugs. The developers shared that Xbox Play Anywhere can now once again be “used between Xbox Series X|S and Windows 10” (this program allows purchasing a digital version of the game and playing it on both consoles and PC at no extra cost).
CD Projekt RED thanked players who reported technical issues in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered.
The developers have not yet announced when they plan to release the next patches for console versions. Some players remain dissatisfied with the quality of the remaster and are calling to bring back the original The Witcher 3 on consoles (on PC, the update can be rolled back).
