Sega has revealed a new Virtua Fighter Crossroads fighter with a possible connection to a classic character

The new fighter named Lionel Rafale, according to the developers, is capable of defeating one of the game's main protagonists.

SEGA has introduced a new Virtua Fighter Crossroads fighter, Lionel Rafale, a young martial artist who is likely the son of Lion Rafale from previous games in the series.

Lionel has arrived in the city of Vilasapara, though the reasons for his appearance remain unknown. The developers claim that he is capable of defeating Cielo, one of the four main characters of the new game. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is also preparing a story campaign.

Although the creators have not yet revealed the fighter's identity, a connection to Lion Rafale is suggested by the similar names, voice lines about a wealthy father, and a fighting style reminiscent of the signature Tourou-ken technique. Whether this theory is confirmed will be revealed next year.
