Character creation and progression system revealed for Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish

Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish has received a new trailer showcasing the character creator, archetypes, attributes, and traits of a vampire hunter.

The next game from the creators of RoboCop and Terminator: Resistance is noticeably different from their previous works. In Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish, players will hunt vampires in New York, and the journey begins with character creation.

Players will be able to choose one of the preset appearances and customize body type, hairstyle, makeup, tattoos, and clothing. Next, they can select an archetype that determines primary skills and core attributes, or create their own custom class.

Points are distributed among charisma, dexterity, intelligence, and other stats, as well as corresponding skills ranging from melee combat to intimidation and persuasion. These affect stat checks and the outcomes of specific situations. Similar to The Outer Worlds, the character can take advantages and flaws that alter skills and grant extra bonuses, such as a 15% critical hit chance.

Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish will be released on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S in the third quarter of 2027.
