Snowy Arrakis and 35 hours of survival: a free update is in the works for Dune: Awakening

Dune: Awakening will receive the free Blood and Ice expansion on December 1, 2026, which will add snow-covered territories of Arrakis and about 35 hours of new content.

Players will be able to explore the Polar Abyss in the north of the planet. The expansion will offer two new biomes with resources and activities, focusing primarily on surface survival: navigating the terrain, managing temperature, and combat.

In November, Funcom will add an offline single-player mode. In January 2027, character cloning and full cross-platform play will arrive. Next year, new locations, mechanics, free content, and in-game events with rewards are also planned.

A cosmetic shop has also already appeared in the game. It sells outfits, vehicle paint jobs, and base decorations. The range will be regularly updated, including looks inspired by the “Dune” movies.
