The Blood of Dawnwalker was the debut game from Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz. The project got off to a successful start, and now the developers are talking to journalists, sharing their approach to work, and revealing their plans for the future.
Media outlets recently visited the Rebel Wolves headquarters. When the creators of The Blood of Dawnwalker were asked what matters more to them—market trends or creative vision, they replied:
We are rebels. We don’t want to follow trends. We want to make the games that we want to play and that we enjoy
Although Rebel Wolves is backed by external investors like NetEase and has Bandai Namco Entertainment as a publisher, the studio remains independent and retains full creative control over its projects.
Many players appreciated this approach. The Blood of Dawnwalker received “Very Positive” reviews on Steam, holding an 87% rating after more than 30,000 user reviews.
Earlier, the developers had already mentioned working on a sequel.
