Crimson Desert developers fix critical bugs blocking quest progression

The developers continue to address technical issues.

In late October, the major premium expansion Charting the Unknown for Crimson Desert Enhanced was released on PC and consoles. Pearl Abyss reviewed player feedback and soon began actively rolling out patches for the game.

Over the past few days, Crimson Desert Enhanced has received several full patches and a hotfix. Recently, the developers rolled out a minor update 2.04.05, which resolves several bugs that prevented players from completing quests:

  • Fixed an issue that caused the game to crash during the battle with Wild Fang Ravok.
  • Fixed an issue where, after completing the main quest “End of the Road,” Damiana’s exclusive quest “From the Ashes” could not be completed during a certain period.
  • Fixed an issue where marriage proposal quests could not be completed for certain Witches.
  • Fixed an issue where Kliff’s quest “Beyond” could not be completed without a fishing rod.

The developers have also heard reports of a bug preventing players from completing Greymane faction quests when playing as Damiana or Unka — a fix is currently in the works.

Early reviews for the Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown expansion are “mostly positive,” standing at a 71% rating after nearly a thousand user reviews. Some players complain about technical issues and believe that the DLC was insufficiently tested.
