Hellraiser: Revival on Switch 2 dashed the expectations of physical edition buyers

The physical version of Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival for Nintendo Switch 2 is being sold with a Game-Key Card, even though promotional materials promised a standard game cartridge.

Buyers of Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival for Nintendo Switch 2 who were hoping to get a full physical copy of the horror game were met with an unpleasant surprise: inside the box was not a standard game cartridge, but a Game-Key Card that requires downloading the game from the internet.

At the same time, neither the promotional images nor the product description on Amazon warned about this. Back in September, user Wario64 asked Saber Interactive about the release format. The publisher confirmed that the game would indeed be released on a Game-Key Card.

However, this information never received widespread publicity, and no one updated the promotional materials.
