Persona 1 may get a remake titled Persona: Be Your True Mind. Gameplay with updated graphics and a combat system reminiscent of Persona 3 Reload has surfaced online.
A Reddit leak shows the protagonist exploring the hallways of St. Hermelin High School, as well as a battle against Shadows. Masao Inaba and Eriko Kirishima can be spotted in the clip, but the appearance of Tatsuya Suou from Persona 2: Innocent Sin drew the most attention. This could indicate that Atlus is preparing an ambitious reimagining combining elements of the first two entries.
However, the authenticity of the video remains questionable: some fans believe it to be a fan project or generated by artificial intelligence. Supporting the footage's legitimacy are Unreal Engine debug messages and animations reminiscent of other modern Atlus games.
Persona: Be Your True Mind remains an unconfirmed project amid anticipation for Persona 4 Revival and Persona 6.
