Recently, Rockstar Games shared details regarding the preloading of Grand Theft Auto VI and made a brief announcement. On the game’s release day, an official poster featuring the GTA VI cover art and a map of Leonida will be released on the studio’s website, which players will be able to download and print themselves.
Following the launch of GTA VI, a double-sided physical version of this poster will go on sale. Players will be able to purchase the poster separately for $0.99 or receive it as a free gift with any purchase on the Rockstar Games store.
This decision angered many players, who began actively criticizing the studio:
Ground Breaker: Charging money for a map that used to come free with the game is classic Rockstar.

xHaarada pointed out a logistical nuance: “Yeah right, ‘99 cents.’ Plus another 20 dollars for shipping to the EU.” For a player nicknamed MrShadowTruther, shipping will cost as much as 30 dollars.
GTA VI will have a physical version, but without a disc: buyers will receive a code in a box to activate the digital version of the game:

The release of Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
