“Relocate to Kazakhstan”: Players from Russia banned from buying a Russian adult game on Steam — not the developers’ decision

Players will be able to purchase Witch Potions - Craft of Lust in other regions.

This month, studio LovePotion plans to release Witch Potions - Craft of Lust on PC via Steam. Earlier, a demo was released on Valve’s service, which drew a certain amount of attention.

A few weeks before the release, the developers of Witch Potions - Craft of Lust announced that the game is unavailable in the Russian Steam store. This restriction was not imposed by the studio itself — external factors were at play:

They say we are making an unwholesome game. Starting today, against our will, Witch Potion is not available in the RU Region; we cannot affect this in any way, so we just continue our work.

The developers of Witch Potions - Craft of Lust clarified that they will continue working on the voice acting as scheduled (English and Russian have been announced).

For owners of Russian Steam accounts who are interested in purchasing Witch Potions - Craft of Lust, the developers suggest considering relocation, for instance to Kazakhstan or another CIS country.

Witch Potions - Craft of Lust is positioned as a potion crafting simulator with visual novel elements, mini-games, and “hot content.” Players will be offered to play the role of the witch Rena, who finds herself in an extraordinary world:

There are no gods or religions in it, yet it is full of powerful entities and mysterious cults. Airships roam the skies, steam-powered self-propelled carriages race along the roads, yet one can easily encounter sorcerers, demons, representatives of wondrous races, and guests from other worlds.
