Grand Theft Auto VI will soon be released on consoles, while Rockstar Games and Take-Two have not yet shared any details about the PC version. Some PC owners are not sitting idle and are trying to imagine what gameplay on this platform might look like with modern technologies.
Recently, a user nicknamed RevolutionaryBus8208 used materials from the “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look” presentation:
I experimented a bit with DLSS 5 and 3x Frame Generation on GTA VI Extended Look — just to see what it would look like when going from 30 to 90 FPS. Everything was processed in real time using software created specifically for the ‘console —> PC’ pipeline.
For this task, he used the Veyra 2.1.1 tool, which can take a video feed (video files, capture cards, Remote Play, etc.) and apply neural rendering, upscaling, and frame generation in real time.
An example comparing recent Grand Theft Auto VI screenshots with the NVIDIA DLSS 5 version:
The original video with the modified GTA VI gameplay recording is being blocked due to copyright complaints from WMG (Warner Music Group), although some users may still be able to view it:
RevolutionaryBus8208 plans to hook up a PS5 to a PC to “run ReShade + DLSS 5 + Frame Generation on real PS5 games. Essentially, turning the 4080 into an external GPU for the console.”
As planned, the setup will look like this: PS5 signal —> 4K HDR capture card or Remote Play —> Veyra / RTX 4080 —> 4K 144 Hz TV.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
