Henry Cavill is developing a game about Superman's meme mustache — he showcased character generation

Modern technologies are actively used in the work.

Actor, producer, and avid gamer Henry Cavill has recently become a game developer. Google offered him a collaboration: he is using Googlebook to create his own project called Mustache Protocol.

Now a video demonstrating the game's development process has surfaced. Henry Cavill offered a look at an example of an AI prompt and the subsequent character generation:

First off, we need a hero with impressive facial hair. We could give him a “chevron” mustache or a handlebar mustache. [Cavill addresses the AI]: take this mustache from the photo… and turn it into a retro video game character in medieval armor with a rocket launcher. Actually, no — that’s a terrible idea. Let’s give him a mustache comb. Just bigger — like a late-15th-century Oakeshott typology two-handed sword, with an extended hilt and a single-edged blade.

In Mustache Protocol, players will step into the shoes of a person who must stop a CGI artist determined to erase every mustache on the planet: “A fun game about a serious problem.”

This references Henry Cavill’s own history. Reshoots were needed for “Justice League,” but at the time, the actor was already working on “Mission: Impossible” and could not shave his mustache. As a result, CGI artists had to digitally remove the facial hair — making the actor’s upper lip look rather odd in those “Justice League” scenes.

Google plans to donate $11 to charity for each launch of Mustache Protocol (up to a maximum of $500,000).
