Last year, ChessBoxing Championship was released on PC via Steam. Studio MysticOakGames presented a chessboxing simulator—in this hybrid sport, rounds of chess and boxing alternate.
Players were offered a “career” mode where they can create their own fighter and pave their way to glory through 50 increasingly dangerous opponents. In the gym, you can level up stats, improve boxing and chess skills, as well as practice combos. Throughout the game, new arenas, gear, and various abilities are unlocked.
Recently, the developers reached out and announced that they are going to delist ChessBoxing Championship:
We would like to announce that we have made the decision to delist ChessBoxing Championship. As part of this process, the game will no longer be available for purchase on Steam. This was not an easy decision, and we want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who supported the game, purchased it, played it, left reviews, or helped spread the word. Your support throughout this journey has meant the world to us, and we are truly grateful to each and every person who became part of this community.
The ChessBoxing Championship page on Steam is available at the following link. The announcement did not specify when exactly they plan to pull the game from sale.
