The game remains popular to this day.

In early November, fans and Hideo Kojima celebrated the 7th anniversary of Death Stranding. The developer posted an address to the community on social media and also presented several celebratory posters:

Death Stranding turns 7 today (7 years have passed since the release)! Thank you to all Sams around the world!

In addition, Hideo Kojima revealed that the audience for the franchise’s games has reached “28 million Porters” (players). He clarified that the calculation accounted for data from all console versions, all PC versions of the games, as well as free access via various subscription services for the original Death Stranding, the expanded Death Stranding Director’s Cut, and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.

In March of this year, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach made its way to PC and received “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews from players on Steam — a 95% rating based on 28 thousand reviews.

The Death Stranding Director’s Cut version has more reviews — over 70 thousand, but overall the reviews are “Very Positive,” with a 92% rating.
