The IndustryGamers website has published the results of a study conducted by the U-Decide Initiative, which shows that people are not as opposed to wearing glasses to get a 3D picture as many claim.

According to these sources, 80% of respondents do not mind wearing glasses at all when watching movies on 3D Blu-ray discs, as well as while gaming. The willingness of users to watch the exact same 3D content without glasses is only slightly higher (11–12%).

Of course, when it comes to watching regular TV broadcasts, only 20% of people said they were willing to constantly wear glasses (three times as many people expressed interest in watching 3D TV channels only without glasses). In the case of sports broadcasts, votes were split 36% versus 63%.

65% of respondents said they have a high-definition TV, and 35% claim they plan to buy a 3DTV within the next two years.
