Blizzard, one of the most successful studios in the world, which today develops exclusively computer games, is certainly thinking about its console future. Last year there were already rumors that Diablo 3 would also appear on consoles, but they were not confirmed.
World of Warcraft producer Allen Brack hinted in an interview with Gamasutra that Blizzard has been considering a console project for quite some time.
“We are a company of gamers,” he stated. “I have two consoles at home, Sam has a console too. There is no doubt that at some point we will be working on a console project. I have no doubt about it. The main thing is to decide on the game, to make the right choice.”
Indeed, Blizzard, why not release a sequel to The Lost Vikings? Although Blizzard might well compete with SOE by releasing the most successful console MMOG.
